The hotel Běhounek***+ has been the dominating feature above the Jáchymov valley since 1975. It has become a favourite destination for many guests thanks to its spaciousness, loftiness and spectacular overview of the surrounding Ore Mountains. Early in 2009 the hotel went through reconstruction and modernization.
Accommodation hotel capacity is 160 rooms of which 50 are single rooms, 106 double rooms (6 rooms for handicapped guests) and 4 comfortably furnished suites and.

Medical treatment: Our guests may choose from a medical spa stay, relax or wellness stay at our hotel. We also offer comprehensive spa treatment even to handicapped guests, there is also a continuous medical treatment. All spa procedures are available right in the building of our spa hotel.

Activities and culture: We offer table tennis, billiard tables and a ski rental right in the hotel. Our guests may also rent mountain bikes, play tennis, petangue, table skittles, mini-golf and Nordic walking. Concierge takes care of all social, cultural and sport activities that take place not only in our hotel but also in other spa facilities.
We kindly ask our foreign clients to use their travel passports (or their ID cards) during their travel to our hotels.
In the Czech Republic, there is a legal obligation to register accommodated foreigners (children included) on the basis of their valid personal document, i.e. ID card or travel passport. Description of spa facility: RADON TREATMENT – HEALING ENERGY FROM THE ENTRAILS OF THE EARTH
It is a specific natural health resource that makes a certain locality a health resort. There are climatic spa resorts, spa resorts with springs of thermal mineral water, mud spa resorts etc. Léčebné lázně Jáchymov a.s. is absolutely unique and different in terms of its natural healing resource. It cures by means of radon water that, unlike other resources, does not have chemical effects, but energetic ones.
A unique source of these natural resources is a mine in Jáchymov, which is still functional, the oldest one in Bohemia and probably also in Europe. It arose in 1518 and there are springs of radon water on its twelfth level, at a depth of 500 m under ground, which are called, for example, after academician Běhounek or Marie Curie – Sklodowska.
Water of these springs is collected in the reservoir on the 12th level and drawn from here to a height of 400 m into a storage reservoir on Barbora level. Radon water is then let down from the reservoir to Daniel level, and there it is conducted in the pipe line in a total length of approximately 3000 m into individual balneological operations.
